We depart Nairobi at 4:30 am aboard a comfortable semi-lux bus, embarking on a scenic road adventure through Kenya and Uganda before crossing into Rwanda. Arrive in Kigali to explore the city’s remarkable transformation, visit the moving Kigali Genocide Memorial, and take in the sights of Amahoro Stadium and BK Arena.

Journey to the King’s Palace in Nyanza, where you’ll experience the majestic Inyambo cows with their distinctive long horns, explore traditional and modern palaces, and witness the mesmerizing energy of the Inyambo dancers. Then venture into Nyungwe Forest National Park for the iconic Canopy Walk suspended high above the ancient rainforest – thrill-seekers can take on the optional zip-line experience soaring up to 100 metres above the jungle floor.

Unwind by the stunning Lake Kivu with a peaceful boat ride, indulge in the therapeutic hot springs and rejuvenating mud bath massage, and shop for treasures at Kimironko Market before the journey home.

Trip Overview

  • Day 1 (Saturday, 24th May): Nairobi → Rwanda (Road Adventure Begins) – We depart Nairobi at 4:30am aboard a comfortable semi-lux bus, ideal for long-distance travel. Scenic stopovers in Nakuru, Kisumu (lunch stop) and Busia for border migration. Overnight journey through Uganda, passing Jinja, Kampala, Mbarara and Masaka, heading towards Rwanda.

  • Day 2 (Sunday, 25th May): Arrival in Kigali & City Experience – Morning arrival at Katuna Border, then proceed to Kigali, arriving in time for lunch. After freshening up, enjoy a hot buffet lunch before starting our first experience. Visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial, followed by a scenic drive past Amahoro Stadium and BK Arena, and a guided city tour showcasing Kigali’s cleanliness and organisation. Overnight in Kigali.

  • Day 3 (Monday, 26th May): Kigali → King’s Palace → Huye – After breakfast, depart Kigali for King’s Palace, Nyanza. Experience the Inyambo cows, traditional and modern palaces, and Rwanda’s rich royal history. Later, drive south to Huye for check-in and relaxation. Overnight in Huye.

  • Day 4 (Tuesday, 27th May): Surprise Stop, Nyungwe Canopy Walk & Lake Kivu – After breakfast, pass by a surprise scenic location, then proceed to Nyungwe Forest National Park. Experience the iconic Nyungwe Canopy Walk, suspended high above the rainforest. For thrill-seekers, enjoy the optional zip-line experience, covering approximately 2 kilometres in total, with individual zip-lines stretching up to 150 metres, and soaring at heights of up to 100 metres above the forest floor — a truly exhilarating perspective of the jungle canopy. After the adventure, drive through the scenic countryside to the Lake Kivu belt, arriving in Karongi. Dinner and overnight by Lake Kivu.

  • Day 5 (Wednesday, 28th May): Lake Kivu Experience → Kigali – After breakfast, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Kivu. Later, indulge in the famous therapeutic hot springs and mud bath massage experience, known for deep relaxation and wellness. After lunch, we depart Lake Kivu and drive back to Kigali. Dinner and overnight in Kigali.

  • Day 6 (Thursday, 29th May): Shopping & Departure from Rwanda – Morning at leisure. Check out and depart the hotel at 12:00 pm, with a shopping stop at Kimironko Market. We depart Rwanda at 3:00 pm, beginning our return journey through Uganda. Overnight travel.

  • Day 7 (Friday, 30th May): Arrival in Kenya – Expected arrival in Nairobi at approximately 8:00 pm.
